Welcome to the Avalanche Map Viewer of the Icelandic Meteorological Office

The Avalanche Map Viewer is intended to facilitate the access to snow pack information and avalanche records that IMO collects.
Visitors are encouraged to read the user guide to get familiar with the application and keep informed of the latest changes.


Users can measure lengths or areas and find out point coordinates.

The viewer has been designed to be used with desktop and laptop computers. Users may experience problems with tablets and smartphones.
